SOLEX or PIERBURG

Are your old twin solex's playing up? same problem with Pierburg or Bocar? done more than 85000 miles on them? we can ofer you a refurbishment service for those wishing to keep the original carburettors.

The problem is the spindle, this wears in the carburettor body allowing air to be drawn in through the carb body side, our answer is to machine the spindle and fit black viton seals to the shaft giving many more years of service to the stock carbs, and when they wear out just fit new seals.

This also applies to the Pierburg, Bocar and the Solex carburettors, all can be refurbished and sealed for much better life and service.

After doing this service for many years we have decided not to do a mail order service any more, we have found that many DIY mechanics do not have the ability to refit and correctly set up a set of carburettors, so to that effect vehicles must be brought to the workshop for full carburettor refurb and refit / tune, no exceptions.

Broken or damaged carburettors will not be accepted, we have had too many junk carburettors bought off the likes of Ebay or unscrupulous traders wishing to make a quick buck from a fool too easily parted with their hard earned money, if in doubt then please contact me for advice in the first instance.

OPTION1 twin carbs, vehicles brought to the workshop will have the carburettors removed, cleaned, serviced and rebushed, they will then be refitted and tuned to the vehicle, each pair of carburetors will have new pump glands and gaskets, petrol lines will be replaced if found to be in an unfit condition at extra cost, the whole procedure will take 5 hours and will cost £150.00 plus vat (£176.25)

OPTION2 single carbs, service as above for £75.00 plus vat (£88.13) this procedure will take 3 hours to complete.
